On the weekend of 12th/13th November a group of RC sailors will be conducting regattas at two locations in the Margaret River region – Saturday 12th at Bettenay’s winery and Sunday 13th at Black Brewing - both days from 12.30pm to 3pm.
The event is being organised by Wanderers RSC but all clubs racing DF95s are encouraged to take part. Bring your family and friends down to make a fun weekend of it!
We are holding this event:
· To promote awareness of radio sailing.
· Because it will be fun!
Not only will customers at these two places be able to watch the racing on the lake whilst having lunch or a drink, they will also be encouraged to come down to the water’s edge and have a go. This is an opportunity to promote your club to a demographic that you might not be able to reach on other occasions. We shall be bringing down Wanderers advertising material, and we encourage your club to load you up with similar goodies.
It's easy as 1-2-3:
1. The event is free, but we do ask that you register with our secretary Keith Morris by sending him an email with your name, your boat’s sail number and the club you belong to. mail to email@example.com
2. Book your accommodation early, places are already filling up.
3. If you and/or your party want to have lunch at the venue on either day, book well ahead by contacting the venue direct:
Generous, bold and wild at heart. That’s Black Brewing Co. They make some of Australia’s most uncompromising craft beers from their home on Caves Road, in Wilyabrup, Margaret River.
The beers tell a refreshing tale of time and place, inspired by the Margaret River region, the Indian Ocean and Western Australia’s incredible produce and people.
Their aim is to develop and discover new brews all the time, and a sunny day of tastings at their Caves Road brewery and restaurant could lead to many places. Here you will find uncompromising craft beers, boutique gin and spirits from their Dune Distilling brand, and some of Margaret River’s best wine varieties.
They offer the perfect venue for lunch on the deck or by the fire, a late afternoon craft beer and bar snack, a family gathering in the beer garden, whilst watching the model yachts racing.
